About SBG
SBG is the authority on suction excavation technology in the Netherlands.
As the only foundation entirely focused on suction excavation, SBG provides a platform for suction excavation companies, suppliers, and clients. We promote suction excavation technology, monitor safety, share our knowledge, and support our members. In addition, we establish guidelines and, together with our members, continually raise the standard.We are happy to share our expertise with all our stakeholders. Why? Because we are collectively responsible for carrying out excavation work safely.
Our focus on safety
We are committed to ensuring the highest safety standards in excavation work and positioning suction excavation as the safest technique. To achieve this, we establish guidelines, develop training courses and modules, organise practical training days with our members, and produce inspection reports.
Members of our foundation will soon receive an SBG certificate. This certificate demonstrates that they meet the high quality and safety standards we uphold. It guarantees that their operators have been thoroughly trained, their equipment has been inspected, and they continuously invest in the knowledge and skills of their staff.
In addition, our mission is to challenge the prevailing dogma around excavation techniques. We want to show that suction excavation is the safe way to dig! To support this vision, we organise various annual events, engage with leading clients, and share our expertise with supply chain partners.
