About SBG
We are SBG. Every day, we are committed to safe and responsible excavation in the Netherlands and Belgium! Founded by the pioneers of ground suction technology in the Netherlands, we have years of knowledge and experience. And as the only interest group 100% focused on ground suction technology, we continually raise the bar together with our participants. We share our knowledge, monitor quality, and jointly ensure safety.
The discussion partner
We are the discussion partner for our participants, suppliers, and supply chain partners, and we enjoy doing so! Together, we discover new possibilities by sharing findings, discussing incidents, and brainstorming about the many applications of suction excavation. We also research innovations and keep our participants informed of developments in legislation and regulations through our mailings and meetings.

The ambassador
As the ambassador for suction excavation technology, we are committed to raising awareness of this method in the Netherlands and Belgium. We want to break through the traditional approach to excavation work and demonstrate that suction excavation is the new and safe way to dig! That's why we engage with leading clients and supply chain partners and involve them in developing policy.
The safety and quality monitor
We monitor safety and quality in excavation work. That's why we developed the Suction excavation Handbook, train excavation machine operators, and ensure that our participants' excavation vehicles are strictly inspected according to our regulations.
In addition, we ensure you can trust that our participants are aware of the safety regulations, applications, and possibilities, and above all, that they dig safely!
Upcoming events
The SBG quality mark
The SBG quality mark is more than just a label; it's proof of craftsmanship, safety, and quality in the suction excavation industry. Participants with the SBG quality mark have trained their operators, inspected their excavation vehicles, and comply with SBG guidelines.
